Researcher from CIMT is a finalist in the Phd Cup

Ellen Raben Pedersen, who completed her PhD in autumn 2017, was one of the five finalists at the Phd Cup 2018.

Ellen's PhD was about tests of speech intelligibility for clinical practice. The tests are used to test hearing and understanding speech. Ellen evaluated the tests, which has led to greater knowledge about the tests – knowledge that can be used for better diagnostics, better treatment of hearing problems and to create new and even better tests.

In addition to Ellen, Anne-Kirstine Dyrvig – another former PhD student at CIMT – was also involved in Phd Cup.

The winner of the Phd Cup became physician Anders Rehfeld for his research on the effect of chemicals on the sense of direction of sperm cells.

PhD Cup 2018 will be broadcast on DR 2 on Friday 27 April at 9.30 p.m. Read more about Phd Cup.
