New at CIMT: PhD Club

Here in 2021, CIMT is launching a new initiative for PhD students, namely the CIMT PhD Club, which is an offer for PhD students at OUH and SDU.

The target group for the CIMT PhD Club is PhD students whose research focuses on digital health technologies, AI, robots or other types of innovative medical technologies.

The club meets once a month, where PhD students in turn can present ideas for research or research results and get feedback from the group and the researchers at CIMT. There are good opportunities for an interdisciplinary discussion, as the members of the club come from three different faculties. Researchers from CIMT's Research Committee take turns participating in the meetings.

The first meeting of the CIMT PhD Club is on Tuesday 26 January at 1 pm. It is a start-up meeting where all members present their PhD projects in a presentation round, and Head of Research at CIMT, Kristian Kidholm, talks about the research at CIMT. The meeting is held via video.

After that, meetings are held on the fourth Thursday of each month at 2-3.30 pm.

Preliminary proposals for topics at the meetings in the first half of 2021 are:

  • New methods for user involvement in research projects
  • Health economic evaluation of digital health technologies
  • Differences and similarities between cost-effectiveness, mini HTA and business cases
  • Choice of research design for studies of the effect of digital health technologies
  • What can I use the implementation research for in my PhD project?
  • How do I ensure a focus on inequality in health in my research project?

At the start-up meeting on Tuesday 26 January, we will discuss and determine the various proposals for topics. You can therefore help to influence which topics are to be taken up at the CIMT PhD Club.

If you would like to participate in the CIMT PhD Club, but have not received a direct invitation, you are welcome to contact Head of Research Kristian Kidholm at kristian.kidholm@rsyd.dk.
