CIMT battles on digitisation at the E-Health Observatory 2017
Innovation Consultant Eva Lund from the Centre for Innovative Medical Technology will talk about how patients' applications for transport reimbursement can be digitalised.
She will do this at the E-Health Observatory in Nyborg on Wednesday 11 October 2017.
Eva Lund has seven minutes to battle against six other innovative e-health solutions, and in the evening the winner is announced.
The digital application for transport reimbursement is a system which makes all workflows around the payment of transport allowance to patients (i.e. covering the patient's transport costs) digital - both for the patient and the staff. The patient applies digitally for transport reimbursement via screens in the department, where they register by scanning their health card. The system checks whether the patient is entitled to travel allowance, and from the time the patient applies for allowance until the calculated amount is paid, a maximum of 48 hours is expected to elapse.
The digital application system has been implemented in two departments at Odense University Hospital and is on its way to being rolled out to the rest of OUH and all the other hospitals in the Region of Southern Denmark.
