New article: "Father - a practical pig"
CIMT researcher Dorthe Boe Danbjørg has published a new article on the role of fathers in relation to their newborn children after early discharge and subsequent readmission.
The fathers find that the health professionals primarily talk to the mother, and that when the father gets involved, it is to sort out practical things. The fathers find that they are being reduced to the practical pig who has to move the bedside table, and this makes them insecure about their role as a father.
