Opening of Centre for Clinical Implementation of Capsule Endoscopy (CICA)
OUH Svendborg has been granted 1 mio. Euro for the establishment of CICA – Centre for Clinical Implementation of Capsule Endoscopy. The research centre will be a centre of clinical excellence; an honour for particularly qualified research centres.
On16 January, Odense University Hospital (OUH) hosts the opening symposium for CICA at 13-17.
CICA will formalise and stregthen the close cooperation between researchers within the field of intestinal diseases and camera pill technology. Even though the centre will be physically placed in Svendborg, the research projects will work with hospitals from all over the region of Southern Denmark.
The purpose of CICA is to ensure evidence for the implementation of capsule endoscopy (camera pills) for coloscopies at the hospitals in the Region of Southern Denmark.
