SUSTAINS
SUSTAINS stands for Support USers To Access INformation and Services.
PROJECT PERIOD
Start: 2012
End: 2014
SUSTAINS was a European project that was supposed to introduce secure online access to health data for Europeans.
AIM
The local project at Odense University Hospital aspired to strengthen the dialogue between the patient and hospital, for example by providing the patient with the possibility of adding data to the electronic patient journal Cosmic.
The patients were to access their data through sundhed.dk, while the clinicians were able to view data directly in the patient journal Cosmic.
RESULTS
During the fall of 2014, Cosmic version 7.5 was to be installed in the Region of Southern Denmark. This is the same version that was used in County Council of Uppsala, and because of this, we were able to use one of the solutions developed for Cosmic in relation to Uppsala’s participation in SUSTAINS. The function included the possibility for patients to comment on their private journal, update basic information in the patient care and complete a questionnaire prior to the consultation. The solution was never implemented, but the thoughts are continued in the PRO project.
PARTNERS
Sundhed.dk was partner on the project.
EXTERNAL FUNDING
The project was financed by ICT Policy Support Programme (ICT PSP).
