Scottish doctor new professor in CIMT

The Scottish Professor George Crooks, OBE, Medical Director, is per 1 July 2017 employed as adjunct professor at CIMT. The appointment lasts until the summer of 2022.

George Crooks has a background as a general practitioner and has subsequently worked in NHS 24, which is Scotland's medical watchdog, and was director of the Scottish Ambulance Service. Scotland is one of the few other countries that has as much focus on telemedicine as Denmark, and George Crooks has been very involved in the development. He has established the Scottish counterpart to CIMT; the Digital Health Institute.

The collaboration with George Crooks provides the opportunity to exchange knowledge and experience on the implementation of telemedicine and to develop new projects. He will also act as a supervisor on relevant telemedicine projects.
