CIMT research leader appointed to the Treatment Council
Kristian Kidholm, professor and research leader at CIMT, has today joined as a health economic member of the Danish Treatment Council.
Kristian Kidholm is one of two health economic advisers on the council and will contribute with his health science background and years of experience from the hospital world with the evaluation of medical technology.
"I am very happy to be allowed to participate in the new treatment council and take part in the decision-making process regarding future treatment options for Danish patients. My focus in the council will be especially on ensuring that new technologies are introduced in practice in the Danish healthcare system, and that in the plans for their spread, the necessary resources are also allocated to get the technologies properly implemented," says Kristian Kidholm.
The other health economics member of the Treatment Council is Jan Sørensen, professor of health economics and Director of Healthcare Outcome Research Center, Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland.
