Outpatient Centre Svendborg

Svendborg Hospital was in the process of being developed into an attractive and well-developed specialist hospital in preparation for the opening of New OUH.

PROJECT PERIOD

Start: 2019
End: 2021

The programme "Outpatient Centre Svendborg" was initiated. It is a virtual centre at Svendborg Hospital, which should form the framework for further developing and qualifying the use of virtual processes and, through a number of concrete sub-projects, developing digital solutions for coherent processes for the patient.

The programme acted as an umbrella for efforts aimed at converting as much as possible to outpatient treatment.

AIM

The virtual centre focuses on accessibility, efficiency and coordination to provide the patient with a good outpatient course with same-day treatment. The centre is an important step in the work with the close and coherent healthcare system.

Specifically, Outpatient Centre Svendborg aimed to create a framework for projects to identify, qualify and support the use of digital solutions for treatment and care closer to the citizen's home, and which should ensure greater coherence in the patient's course.

Outpatient Centre Svendborg supported i.a.

In addition, it should help the staff to use more video consultations via training and focus on work processes.

RESULTS

Under the auspices of the Outpatient Centre Svendborg programme, eight projects and initiatives were carried out from 2019 to 2021 with a focus on virtual patient processes and digital solutions for coherent patient processes. In addition, nine general themes were jointly identified by clinicians and the steering group, which were important in the work with digitisation of Svendborg Hospital.

8.16 million DKK was raised during the period for the implementation of the projects.
