Co-producing research with patients and relatives

AIM

This PhD project will work towards a better understanding of which factors play a part in successfully co-producing research at OUH. It will contribute with a collective set of tools and knowledge, which will make it easier to co-produce research at OUH.

The project will be co-produced with patients and relatives and consists of the following subsidiary goals:

1. Identify values and principles to guide the co-production in practice. A code of conduct will be developed for co-produced research at OUH.
2. Study how these values are formed in the relation between patient and researcher.
3. Develop a model for co-produced research at OUH to enable, facilitate and evaluate the meaning of the co-production.

Eventually, the products will form a knowledge bank and tangible tools relevant for researchers and patients in the planning and execution of co-produced research at OUH.

Data will be collected via workshops, observations and literature studies at OUH, the University of Southern Denmark (SDU) and internationally.
