Adjunct professor extended
Anthony Smith's appointment as adjunct professor of telemedicine at CIMT under the Faculty of Health Sciences at the University of Southern Denmark has been extended for a further five years until 2024.
Until now, Anthony has worked closely with health science research group leader at CIMT, Jane Clemensen, to explore the possibilities of telemedicine in both Australia and Denmark. The collaboration has resulted in nine scientific articles, and during his visits to Denmark, Anthony has been involved in ongoing telemedicine projects, e.g. at the Hans Christian Andersen Hospital for Children and Adolescents, given presentations to staff and researchers from OUH and SDU and participated in meetings throughout the Region of Southern Denmark.
Going forward, Anthony will continue his close collaboration with Jane, i.a. on telemedicine for diabetes patients.
Meet Anthony in Denmark
From the 7th - 20th November, Anthony Smith is in Denmark, and in that connection he will guest the CIMT Academy, which is therefore holding a special edition on 14 November at 2-3 pm.
The theme of the academy is the Journal of Telemedicine and Telecare, of which Anthony is the editor. The focus will be on the most important research areas within telemedicine at the moment, and Anthony will also give good advice to researchers and PhD students who would like to publish in the Journal of Telemedicine and Telecare; what is a strong script, what are the typical mistakes, etc.
