PhD defence Charlotte Nielsen – Telemedicine supporting patients in the process of kidney transplants

Friday 17 January, Charlotte Nielsen will defend her PhD on the support of patients in the process of kidney transplants. The event is at SDU and everyone is welcome to participate.

The project is titled "The Kidney Transplantation Process – a participatory design study to explore patient involvement and how telehealth can support kidney recipients".

The purpose was to create new possibilities to involve patients in the procedure of their kidney transplant by the means of a telemedical solution. The aim was to support patients and their collaboration with the health staff during the process of kidney transplant.

The project is built upon the method participatory design with research group leader at CIMT Jane Clemensen as the main supervisor.

The defence will take place at SDU, Winsløv Parken 25 (the auditorium) on 17 January from 2 PM – approximately 4 PM, with a reception afterwards.

Registration is not necessary.
