The PhD course TTRN 2021 completed with participants from 11 countries
TTRN 2021 has ended after two intense course days with 33 PhD students from 11 countries. Just like last year, the course took place virtually due to the covid-19 pandemic.
The theme for this year's course was: Future Digital Technologies in Healthcare: How to design, test and assess the value of digital technologies and services that engage, empower, and motivate patients.
The course gave the students familiarity with and knowledge of new, interdisciplinary research methods for the development and evaluation of digital health technologies. In addition, they experienced getting valuable information about different perspectives on digitisation: research perspective, patient perspective, healthcare perspective, management perspective, etc.
The course alternated between lectures, workshops and joint solving of case tasks in small groups. Despite the fact that the course participants took part in the course from almost all corners of the world and only met virtually, networks were also created across national borders and research fields.
The TTRN course in 2022 will probably take place at the Cleveland Clinic in Ohio, USA.
