Professor Jim Marcin becomes adjunct professor at the Hans Christian Andersen Hospital for Children and Adolescents and CIMT

We are pleased to announce that professor Jim Marcin, paediatrician and expert in digital health from UC Davis in California, USA, has been appointed adjunct professor at the Research Unit at the Hans Christian Andersen Hospital for Children and Adolescents and at CIMT through professor Jane Clemensen.

Jim Marcin is a professor and physician in the paediatric intensive care unit at UC Davis Children's Hospital, and director of the Center for Health and Technology, where he leads the telemedicine programme. His research focuses on how telemedicine can improve the care of seriously ill children in remote hospitals, emergency departments and inpatient wards.

UC Davis is a university with which CIMT already has a strong collaboration through the Transatlantic Telehealth Research Network, and we are pleased that professor Marcin will be part of the strong research groups at both the Hans Christian Andersen Hospital for Children and Adolescents and CIMT for the next five years, supported by funding from the Internationalisation Fund.

We look forward to the collaboration and the exciting opportunities his expertise will bring to OUH and CIMT.
