Tool for evaluating the My Hospital app
The app My Hospital is Odense University Hospital’s platform for digital communication with patients. It has been developed and used at OUH since 2014, and the demand has been great.
PROJECT PERIOD
Start: 2017
The purpose of the app is, among other things, to help patients find relevant information about their course of treatment and ensure that they are involved to a greater extent in their own treatment.
AIM
In order to ensure the greatest possible satisfaction with My Hospital among patients and staff and at the same time ensure that the content and use of the app is as optimal as possible, there is a need to continuously evaluate the use and gather experience from patients and staff to be able to adjust the system. The evaluation must be able to be completed in a short time with a minimum of time consumption, and therefore we have developed and tested an evaluation tool. The tool must facilitate and unify the work of following up at My Hospital.
The tool contains:
- A guide to the top 10 steps in evaluating user experiences with My Hospital
- A tried and tested questionnaire for patients
- A tried and tested interview guide for group interviews with staff
- Suggestions for use and analysis of consumption data (e.g. number of messages sent)
- Draft information material on the evaluation for patients and staff
