Report on Telehealth Innovation from TTRN
The Transatlantic Telehealth Research Network (TTRN) has published a report on telemedicine and the future prospects in the field.
The report is based on results from TTRN's conference in September 2017 and interviews with leading American researchers. It provides a status of the use of telemedicine in the US and Europe and explains the most important research areas that the health sector and industry should focus on in the coming years.
The report identifies innovative initiatives that will promote telemedicine and provide new opportunities within the next three to five years. The report assesses future development opportunities within telemedicine and the foundation of current technological opportunities, the use of telemedicine throughout the world as well as barriers to the implementation and spread of telemedicine.
