Professor James Marcin welcomed with excellent inaugural seminar
Last week, the Research Unit at the Hans Christian Andersen Hospital for Children and Adolescents as well as CIMT could welcome Professor James Marcin as an adjunct professor with an inaugural seminar that featured an excellent presentation from Professor Marcin about his work and research, as well as very insightful discussions with those attending.
Jim Marcin is Vice Chair for Research in the Department of Pediatrics at the UC Davis School of Medicine and Director of the Center for Health and Technology at UC Davis Health, California. He is internationally recognised for his expertise in digital health and paediatrics.
Professor Marcin will be connected to CIMT as an adjunct professor through Professor Jane Clemensen at the Reseach Unit at the Hans Christian Andersen Hospital for Children and Adolescents.

Honorary doctorate for Anthony Smith
The occasion also allowed us to celebrate our adjunct professor of 10 years Anthony Smith from the University of Queensland, Australia, who was awarded an honorary doctorate from the University of Southern Denmark at the Annual University Celebration on 31 October 2025. Congratulations, Anthony!
