Mette has been a part of CIMT for several years, and she has a close collaboration with the clinical research group. Mette’s continued relation with CIMT ensures the continuation of her work with i.a. Jane Clemensen and Dorthe Boe Danbjørg about user driven innovation and the theoretical development of the research design of  participatory design.

In her research, Mette has particularly focused on  brittle bone disease (osteoporosis) and the influence of the disorder on the patient. In recent years,  Mette has also focused on patient/user involvement along with the use and development of technology.

As a senior researcher for CIMT, Mette Juel Rothmann contributes her close connection to the clinic (endocrinology and rheumatology) and to the Steno Diabetes Centre Odense, SDCO.
