MySkills

Ensuring continuity and a systematic approach in onboarding for new employees and in ongoing competence development for permanent employees can be difficult in a busy hospital.

PROJECT PERIOD

Start: November 2019

After the implementation of the app MyMedCards in the Department of Gastroenterology at Odense University Hospital, the idea arose for an extension of the project.

AIM

The purpose of the MySkills project was to develop a digital platform in the form of an app for introductory material, checklists and competency cards that could create a better coherence in the introductory process for new employees and help ensure ongoing competency development.

The platform should be easily accessible and easy to work in for all employees. By working with the company MyMedCards, the project ensured that there was an easy way to access information that was already in the MyMedCards app. The MySkills app was structured as a template, so that individual departments had the opportunity to create relevant content for their employees themselves.

The project was designed with user involvement and the first prototype went live in February 2021, but the project is being developed on an ongoing basis.

MySkills was nominated for the RAP Award in 2021.

RESULTS

There is no assessment of the project yet, but the response from users, both new employees and mentors, has been positive.

PARTNERS

MySkills was carried out at the Department of Gastroenterology at Odense University Hospital in collaboration with the company MyMedCards.
