New adjunct professor at CIMT

Dr. Anne Snowdon, Canadian professor and scientific director, is employed as an adjunct professor in clinical supply chain innovation in the Center for Innovative Medical Technology (CIMT).

The collaboration is based on Anne Snowdon's H-SIMM supply chain maturity tool, which is used to analyse supply chains in the hospital system. By analysing data and tracking products, care processes, suppliers, etc. the tool can predict the individual outcome for the patient with a given treatment. Tessa Lind Gjødesen, general manager at CIMT, looks forward to the collaboration:

"Anne Snowdon has a really exciting profile for CIMT, because she combines her healthcare background and clinical insight with social science, just like we do in CIMT".

The goal of the collaboration is to put Snowdon's research in a Danish framework and apply the research and models at Odense University Hospital (OUH). The joint research will focus on validating the H-SIMM supply chain maturity tool and work on a business model for the tool in a Danish and Scandinavian context.

In addition, Anne Snowdon will also give lectures and act as a supervisor for PhD students at CIMT.

Anne Snowdon says:

"I am very honoured to have this opportunity to collaborate with so many talented innovators at Odense University Hospital and CIMT. Together, we can promote innovation in the healthcare system and maturity in relation to working with supply chains in the Region of Southern Denmark, and I look forward to building a solid collaboration with CIMT".

INAUGURAL SEMINAR

The inaugural seminar for Anne Snowdon will take place in October 2019, where she will also participate in the annual Innovation Day at Odense University Hospital (OUH).
