The winners found in Health Tech Innovator 2019

This year's Health Tech Innovator has concluded and the judging panel has chosen three winners.

Health Tech Innovator is an additional offer for students interested in innovation at the Faculty of Health Sciences and engineering students from the Faculty of Technology at SDU to combine their skills and find the best solutions to challenges from the health sector. Since February, the students have been working with innovation based on concrete issues at Odense University Hospital and Odense Municipality. They have been around the departments to 'spot' problems, after which they have developed possible solutions.

The three winners were:

  • Tempsafe. A case for rectal thermometers that ensures that rectal thermometers are not carriers of infection in hospital corridors.
  • Selfeet. An intelligent selfie stick for diabetic ulcer patients.
  • Movized. A stool weighing and documentation device.

Congratulations to the winners!

The judging panel this year consisted of Henrik Bindslev, Peder Jest, Mette Syse, Thiusius Rajeeth Savarimuthu, CIMT's own Dorthe Danbjørg, Bjørn Gudmundsson, Henrik Lindholm and Ulrik Hardt Schønnemann.

As something new, a Health Tech Innovator summer school will also be organised this year, where both senior researchers Knud Yderstræde and Mette Rothmann and Head of Research Kristian Kidholm will teach.

This is the fourth time the Health Tech Innovator has run.
