Economic assessment of the national Proactive Health Support
Proactive Health Support is a large national research project, which examines whether telephone support from specially educated nurses can help patients with chronic diseases. Experience from Sweden has shown that telephone support can help patients increase their life quality and have a better everyday life where they will not be admitted as often. Based on this, it has been decided to examine the effect of implementing the Swedish model in a Danish context.
ASSESSMENT
The purpose of the economic assessment is to assess whether the Proactive Health Support results in cost-effectiveness in the municipalities, state and regions. The evaluation will assess cost of treatment in the Healthcare sector, and examine whether Proactive Health Support uses more or less money in total per patient, including costs running Proactive Health Support.
